P. graveolens (geranium) is native to southern Africa and is widely cultivated in several countries, mainly in Russia, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Congo, Japan, and some continents such as Central America and Europe. P. graveolens extracts was reported to possess a wide range of biological and pharmacological properties such as antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and dermatoprotective effects.
